The Modern Hebrew language belongs to a group of Nothern Central Semitic languages. It was reborn during the last centuries as a spoken language. Contemporary Hebrew is being used by all Israelis as first or second language in Israel, Germany, Australia, Canada, UK, and United States, by over 5 million people all over the world. First electric typewriter that supported Hebrew keyboard and right-to-left typing was introduced by IBM in 1977, and represented a reverse-functioning typewriter compared to other conventional models.
